    Troubleshooting

Meta links, pixels, publishes, rejections—the usual suspects.

First, try disconnecting AdCat from Settings → Integrations and then reconnecting through the OAuth flow — this clears any stale token and resolves the majority of connection issues. If that doesn't fix it, check that your Meta Business account has admin access to the ad account you're trying to use and that AdCat is approved in Business Manager → Integrations. If you're still stuck after both, email hi@adcat.ai and we'll look at your account directly.

Pixel verification can take up to 24 hours after install, so give it a full day before assuming something's broken. If it's still not verifying after that, double-check the pixel snippet is installed on the page you're driving traffic to (not just the homepage) and confirm the pixel ID inside AdCat matches the one in your Meta Events Manager. The free Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension will tell you within seconds if the install is correct.

Publishing failures almost always come down to one of three things: your Meta account isn't connected, your pixel isn't verified, or you don't have a valid payment method on file inside your Meta ad account. Walk through Settings → Integrations to confirm all three are green. If everything looks fine and you're still seeing an error, take a screenshot and send it to hi@adcat.ai so we can decode Meta's message for you.

Meta rejects ads for policy violations — most commonly prohibited content (firearms, supplements, certain financial products), misleading claims ("guaranteed results," before-and-after weight loss), or restricted categories that require special permissions (alcohol, dating, employment). AdCat flags common issues before you publish, but Meta runs its own review after submission so some rejections only surface once the ad is live. You can read Meta's full policy at facebook.com/policies_center, and if you think a rejection is wrong you can request a manual review directly from your Meta Ads Manager.
